What is an Integrated Children's Centre?

Integrated Children's Centres (ICC) are set up to provide an all in one service for education, care, family support and health services for the community.

Ystalyfera is the third location chosen to have an ICC developed (the others being Aberavon and Resolven)

At present the Ystalyfera & Godre'r Graig ICC does not have a central building although this is something we are hopefully going to work towards in the future. In the meantime we are creating what has been called a 'virtual ICC', where all the different people and organisations who can provide for the needs of children, parents and families have been brought together to work together and serve the local community.

This Blog site provides you with a means of reaching out to the 'virtual ICC' by clicking on the comments in these posts to let us know your thoughts such as:
What matters to you as a parent / child / young person?
What do you need?
What worries you most as a parent/family and is there anything that would help ease that worry?

Please tell us your thoughts and we can work together to provide services, activities, advice and other support for children, young people and families within the local community and for the benefit of all.
